The world of virtual reality might very well be the future of video games. There is some truly cutting-edge technology in the space and the interactivity is astounding. But, the barrier to entry might still be just a touch too high. As we see more and more virtual reality consoles hit the market, though, that future of gaming becomes even more real. PlayStation just revealed the headset design for its upcoming VR2 and it looks extremely sleek. Originally released in 2016, the PlayStation VR first edition was clunky and didn’t include dedicated controllers. With the new PSVR2, though, we have a slimmer, lighter design for the headset along with PSVR2 Sense controllers. From an aesthetic point of view, the white on black is a significant upgrade from the original model. And the slight tweaks in design, including a cooling vent that prevents the lenses from fogging up, are a welcome change.

The PSVR2 features a 4K HDR display, eye tracking, inside-out camera tracking, headset feedback, and a single cord connection to the PS5 console. Pricing and a release date have not yet been announced.
